Hand Over Hand (HOH) is an organization dedicated to learning about different types of disabilities and raising awareness in the community about them. Incepted in 2005, HOH began when a few driven individuals decided to join together and take action with one firm goal in mind - to increase awareness about disabilities, uniting people of all abilities as one community.
Through community visibility, HOH hopes to get people involved in learning about disabilities as they come out to fundraising events for various disabilities-related causes. HOH also created a social group in which youth with disabilities can interact and have fun with our Hand Over Hand members as well as the community! With the Pen Pal Program, youth with disabilities can work on their interpersonal and interactive skills by writing to a Hand Over Hand volunteer. This is quite beneficial for participating in the community, getting to know the people in Hand Over Hand, and meeting new people.
